SEND

Welcome to our SEN Information Report which is part of Stockton SEND Local Offer for children and young people with Special Educational Needs. Our SEN Information Report will provide details about how our school implements its policy and practice to deliver high quality SEN provision for children and young people with SEN.

The SEN Information Report (SIR) was reviewed and updated in September 2025.

This SEND Information Report should be read alongside the school’s SEND Policy, Equality Diversity and Inclusion Policy and the Public Sector Equality and Accessibility Plan.

SEN Information Report 2025 – 2026

School Ethos and Approach

We believe it is crucial that every child, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), is well equipped with a balance of social, moral, and academic skills which will enable them to learn and develop into creative, happy, skilled, confident and independent people who understand how to fully contribute to the local community and wider society.

We are committed to the inclusion of all pupils across all areas of school life. We recognise the diverse and individual needs of all of our pupils and take into account the additional support required by those children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our School is committed to anti-discriminatory practice to promote equality of opportunity, prevent disabled pupils from being treated less favourably and valuing diversity for all children and families.

The SIR provides clear information for parents and carers, and describes a graduated approach relating to all aspects of SEND provision for pupils at our school, beginning with how children are identified and who to talk to about any initial concerns, going on to describe further arrangements, SEN support plans, Health Care Plans, resources, consulting procedures and transition.

We aim to:

  • Provide a secure and accessible environment in which all our children can flourish and in which all contributions are considered and valued.
  • Include and value the contribution of all families to our understanding of equality and diversity.
  • Provide positive non-stereotyping information about gender roles, diverse ethnic and cultural groups and disabled people.
  • Improve our knowledge and understanding of issues of anti-discriminatory practice, promoting equality and valuing diversity.
  • Make inclusion a thread that runs through all of the activities of the school
